Gaming doesn’t make you a loser. It makes you a better human.
Hewlett Packard (yeah, the printer guys) came to Wieden with a wild ambition: To mainstream PC gaming through the relaunch of their OMEN brand. But, in order to grow “casual” console gamers into PC gamers, we first had to reframe how people viewed gaming PCs: From an expensive time sink for losers, to a necessary tool for the betterment of humankind.
Transcend Humanity through gaming.
In OMEN’s relaunch, we decided to fast-forward to a near future where gaming isn’t just accepted, but expected. Where training facilities are erected to git non-gamers gud. Where sperm banks actually seek out gamer DNA. It’s Black Mirror meets The Onion.
Side note: I had a hard time explaining this one to my mom.
